Welcome to Bengal Cottage

Delightful, Quiet Holiday Cottage in Rural Pembrokeshire

Bengal Cottage is a quaint semi detached traditional 16th century stone cottage, set on a quiet rural lane in rolling farmland abounding with footpaths to explore. Surprisingly spacious it has been renovated throughout, yet still retains original features.

Step into the open plan living space with A frame beams, wooden floors and large inglenook fireplace, with wood burning stove, ideal for cosying up on those chillier evenings.

Stairs lead up to the welcoming galleried double bedroom in the eaves. The modern gallery style kitchen leads out to the enclosed rear garden with gravel patio and steps up to large lawned area, giving plenty of space for children to play while you enjoy a summer barbecue and admire the beautiful rural views.

Nearby Trecwn village is set in a valley and the surrounding countryside leads into the Preseli Hills - an area ideal for walkers and cyclists. Or in the other direction, just a short car drive or even *cycle ride from the bustling picturesque harbour town of Fishguard with its shops, galleries, cinema/theatre and Farmer’s Market.

Join the Coastal Path here also and admire the fantastic sea views from the National Park’s northern coast. Take a walk along Fishguard Harbour’s Break Water or any nearby beaches (all dog friendly).

Lots of excellent pubs/restaurants with great food. Bengal Cottage is an ideal country retreat whatever the season. This is a no smoking property.

*A designated cycle route is in the construction process on the A40 and as of January 2009 is completed from Fishguard to the outskirts of Scleddau village - approximately 1/2 mile from Bengal Cottage.
